Recently, I learned something.

It’s a sad thing, if I’m to be honest.

It’s about women’s perception

And how they now look at us.

It’s 2013 and the world is so different,

than it’s ever been before.

Women don’t need a man for anything

Not even something as simple as holding a door.

As a result of this,

Most men have become lazy.

They don’t even try anymore.

It’s just crazy.

But my declaration today,

is one I hope all women will hear.

Gentlemen still exist in 2013.

We’re still here.

I’m one of them.

I never forgot how to treat a lady.

So don’t be so quick to judge,

Don’t be so hasty.

I’ll hold that door for you,

I’ll hold your hand as you step out the car

I’ll cook a meal for you when you want me to

I’ll make you feel like a star

As far as making love, I’ll cater to your desires.

Just tell me what works.

I’m not like the rest.

I’ll get you there first.

I’ll trust you always.

I’ll respect you beyond measure.

I’ll always be honest with you.

I’ll never lie to you. Ever.

Women think gentlemen are extinct.

But I’m here to say we still exist.

You can find one in 2013.

Just as easily as you could in 1936.
