Song Of The Moment

Fool's Gold

A smile of pearls
with a tongue of tourmaline
speaking golden sweet nothings
as I meet your bronzen eyes
and ache for your alabaster skin
while running my fingers through onyx hair.
You sell me blood diamonds
and fools gold,
your beauty is the cruelest jeweler.
All these stones and gems you unearth to me
I bear proudly
in a chain cast of fool's gold.
There's blood on these diamonds you sell me so sweetly,
and I'm not quite sure
if it's yours or my own.
A sieve pours out my heart
with every sweet nothing and touch.
These precious jewels will kill me,
yet I crave them
and cherish them so delicately.
See how they shine in the light.
