Atlas

I was just a nomadic traveler
Roaming the universe in search of my purpose
Speeding past galaxies looking for some meaning to gather
That's when I stumbled upon a man revolving around a golden furnace
I spoke to him and he told me of an epic battle
Between Gods and Titans
This was the first battle to make the Earth rattle
When the Gods claimed victory all was silenced
My friend Atlas was forced to forever carry this boulder on his shoulders
I could not think of a punishment much colder
Then he explained to me how tired he was
Explained the pain he felt like anyone in his position does
Soon I started to feel nothing but pity
And he sensed that
Cause he then asked of me a favor he said would be bitty
I am a fool, and that's a fact
Tricked by Atlas
He asked me to hold the world for him and he'd come right back
I foolishly accepted
The pain he endured was something I had respected
I took the world, unaware that I was being condemned
I never saw Atlas again
He saw that I was was a good friend
I thought I was helping him
But what I could not see
Was that Atlas was planning to abandon me...
