she mourns deaths that haven't occurred - yet 

breaks her own heart before anyone else has the chance 

and so on 

is she the cause of her own complications? 

don't assume so, she'd have them either way 

and she'd rather maltreat herself than to allow people to gain 

the satisfaction of damaging her 

that's really the only reason she seems to be so reinforced 

because no one can pain her 

except herself
