As I look to the heavens and scream for help
The universe laughs
I'm mocked by all that exists
As my helpless screams grow louder
The taunting becomes more intense
I find myself running down a road
With nothing to my right or to my left but unoccupied space
And every star that heats the universe is chasing me
Accompanied by every planet, every comet, and all the elements
As the adrenaline pumps through me faster and faster
And with every beat of my heart
I can hear a drum pound
And it all resembles a countdown
It all signifies that something is coming to and end
But what?
When suddenly all who chase me retreat
And I notice something ahead
And as I slow to a halt
I'm faced with you
"Speak to me."

What happened to us?
Why do I still have hope you'll cease to push?
Why do you continue to be the positive
To the wrong people's negative?
Why is it that I have to fight harder than everyone?
Almost never to any avail
Why do I have to wait til everybody else is done
To get a few seconds of you to myself?
Why don't we speak anymore?
Why do you orbit barren Plutos?
When you have Earth waiting for you, though...
I chased and chased and always missed
I guess two negatives aren't meant to coexist
